My Story
There are quiet places where stories begin.
This is one of mine.
My name is Nasim. My art is my love letter to every beautiful soul who ever wandered into my life, curled up in my heart, and carried a piece of it with them when they slipped into the stars. It is also a celebration of the ones still here — the gentle beings who fill our homes with zoomies, nose boops, and the kind of joy you can feel deep in your bones.
I keep painting because I am still learning how to live with a heart cracked open by loss. Grief does not pack its bags and leave; it settles in, becoming a quiet companion. I work with colour, shimmer, texture, and small moments of whimsy to bring light back into places that might otherwise feel dim or hollow — to give shape to feelings that do not fit neatly into words.
Through every brushstroke, I am trying to stay connected to the souls I have loved and lost — the ones who used to flop into my lap, beg for my snacks, and chase butterflies like it was their full-time job. Art lets me step into that magical place where they still do all of that… where they still exist. It also reminds me to cherish every silly wiggle, warm presence, and tender moment with those still holding my fragile world together today.

I share my art because I know what it feels like to lose your whole world wrapped in fur. That kind of heartbreak speaks its own language. If you are grieving, know that I see you. You are not alone here — you have a friend in me, walking this winding path alongside you and your tender heart.
But this space is also for those who still have a loved one curled beside them, snoring softly, racing through the house, or creating everyday magic. Love in all its forms deserves to be held and celebrated.
Grief can feel lonely… frightening… quiet.
Love can feel warm… joyful… absurd.
Through colour, story, and memory, we make room for all of it. Together, we find pockets of joy again.
And maybe — just maybe — those we love feel a little closer, whether they are here with us now or shimmering somewhere among the stars.
