About This Piece
Mixed media on paper
11 × 14 inches
Part of the Intuitive Creativity Series - Garden Studies, a trio of works created through intuitive mark-making and spontaneous exploration.
This piece emerged from the quiet rhythm of intuitive painting, where shapes and symbols begin to speak before a plan ever forms.
A simple vase becomes the anchor of the composition, holding stems that twist and bloom in unexpected directions. Butterflies drift through the space like small passing thoughts, while dots of light scatter across the surface like distant stars.
The painting explores the idea that beauty can grow even in darker spaces. The flowers do not fight the surrounding shadows. they simply rise through them, carrying their quiet glow with them.
Created as part of the Intuitive Creativity Series, this work celebrates the freedom of allowing the hand to move before the mind fully understands where it is going.
