Gentle Notes

About This Piece

This piece was painted in memory of Sushi — a tiny girl with immense presence.

Where I Learned to Hold You lives in the space where love doesn’t cling but stays. The figure stands gently, holding a bloom that carries more than petals — it carries understanding, trust, and the kind of bond that doesn’t require words.

This painting isn’t about loss alone — it’s about what remains when love has nowhere left to go but inward.

About Sushi

There was something about the way Sushi existed in the world. A calm intelligence. A beautiful stillness. Sushi was independent, certain of herself, almost human in her awareness. She didn’t follow — she chose.

When Sushi left me, the grief cracked something open that never closed again. I miss her every moment of every day.

Orders for original artwork are typically prepared for shipment within 2-3 business days. A tracking link will be sent as soon as your artwork ships so you can follow its path to you.

Please note that customs duties, taxes, or import fees may apply for international orders and are the responsibility of the recipient.

Prints:

These items are made especially for you as soon as you place an order. Because these pieces are created one at a time rather than in bulk, they take a little longer to reach you than something pulled from a shelf. Making items on demand helps reduce overproduction, so thank you for choosing thoughtfully and with care.

To bring these pieces to life and get them safely to you, I work with trusted fulfillment partners who produce and ship each item on my behalf.

Most items are produced within 2–5 business days. Once production is complete, shipping typically takes around 7 days for most regions. For certain international destinations, delivery may take up to three weeks, depending on location, customs processing, and local carriers.

Shipping is free on all made-to-order items to most regions around the world. If a destination requires a different shipping arrangement, any applicable costs will always be clearly shown at checkout before you place your order.

A tracking link will be sent as soon as your order ships.

Because these items are made to order, small variations in color or finish can occur. Each piece is created with care and intention, and no two are ever exactly the same.

Returns

Originals:

All original artworks are one-of-a-kind pieces, created by hand and shipped with care from my studio in Canada. Because of their unique and irreplaceable nature, returns or exchanges are not accepted once an artwork has been delivered.

If your artwork arrives damaged during transit, please contact me within 48 hours of delivery with clear photos of the packaging and the artwork itself. All original artworks are shipped with insurance, which helps cover damage that may occur during shipping, and I will guide you through the next steps if a claim is needed.

Original artworks may show natural variations in texture, surface, or detail. These are not flaws, but part of the character of a hand-made piece and part of what makes each work uniquely its own.

I understand that purchasing original art is a meaningful decision. If you have questions before purchasing, I encourage you to reach out so I can help you feel confident and informed. If a concern arises after delivery, you’re welcome to contact me — I read every message personally and will always respond with care and honesty.

Prints:

All these items are made especially for you after an order is placed. Because of this, returns or exchanges are not accepted for reasons such as a change of mind, incorrect selection, or personal preference.

If your order arrives damaged, misprinted, or materially flawed, please reach out within 7 days of delivery with a description of the issue and clear photos. If a problem is confirmed, a replacement or refund will be arranged, depending on the situation.

Each item is created individually, and small variations in color, texture, or finish can naturally occur. These variations are part of the made-to-order process and are not considered defects.

That said, I understand that sometimes things don’t feel quite right. If you have a concern about your order, you’re welcome to reach out. I review every message personally and will always do my best to respond with care and fairness.
